I. Process Introduction
Use hydrochloric acid as decomposition agent to decompose szaibelyite ore, purify acidolysis liquid through particular procedures to achieve pure boric acid solution, and then produce finished product of boric acid through cooling, crystallization, dehydrating, washing and drying. Perform purification and edulcoration for high concentration MgCl2 solution generated from purification procedure and use it to prepare magnesium hydroxide fire retardant. Boric acid is crystallized mother liquid is recycled. The achieved boric acid has uniform particle diameter, white color and various impurity indicators superior to the standard of products of the same category in Chile. It is applicable to borosilicate glass, solar energy, optical instrument, electronics, fine boride and other high and medium-end application fields.
II. Technical Advancement
It can reach domestic leading standard in yield control (90%), quality control (in conformity with international standard) and cost control, solving the problems of equipment corrosion and comprehensive utilization of mother liquid (mother liquid is used in preparing magnesium hydroxide fire retardant or medical (food) grade magnesium carbonate, magnesium oxide).
III. Market Prospect
Chinese total annual demand for boric acid is above 310,000t. Domestic boric acid is constrained by quality and other factors, its application is limited in borosilicate glass, optical instrument, fine boride, new-type boron-containing material and other fields. The demand of domestic market for high quality boric acid has increased year by year. The present high quality boric acid is mainly imported, having relatively high sales price, stable market, considerable profits and broad prospect.
